Hi there fellow journalers! I can't believe that it's already November...I don't even know where this year has gone. Here at amanobooks.com it has definitely been a full year filled with important events both personal and business. Times flies when you are busy! I am happy to announce that I have plans for a monthly newsletter filled with updates, specials for newsletter subscribers, and journaling tips. I hope you will enjoy it. Bridgette Guerzon Mills News Shows and publications This year one of my goals was to get more of my artwork out there in the big world. I am so excited to say that my goal was accomplished! :: Book art piece, "Restoring a Hijacked Faith" Published in Issue Fifteen of Dog Eared Magazine, March 2005 Dog Eared Magazine :: Two book art pieces were selected to be in a juried Art of the Book Exhibition called "define:book", September 10 - October 29, 2005 Art Books Press, Seattle, WA Art Books Press :: If you would like to see more of my book art pieces, you can see them here Guerzonmills.com More to come....
Accomplishments As we head toward the end of this year, look back on what this past year has looked like for you. Focus on your accomplishments even the smallest ones. One of mine is remembering to water my houseplants! Make a list of the big and small things that you feel have brought you a sense of accomplishment. Celebrate yourself! It is also healthy to take a look at some of the disappointments. What didn't get done? Why? What could you have done differently? Maybe there's a positive to the disappointment. Journal about it.
Seaglass, twigs, and stones Nature is one of my muses. The simple beauty of a stone or a leaf cannot be surpassed. I often turn to nature to inspire me when I create my mixed media collage journal covers. To celebrate nature's beautiful offerings, I have created journals whose covers showcase either seaglass wrapped in wire, twigs, and a flat stone in a window. These journals come in two sizes now. I hope that these nature journals will inspire other journalers as well. See these journals here natural elements journals. "The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself." ~Henry Miller Be sure to visit amanobooks often as I will be adding more journals to the site. « Back to the Newsletter Archive main page |
